We have a few days left on our
IndieGoGo! fundraising campaign!!

We'd love if you would check out our IndieGoGo campaign website to learn more about why your support is so crucial to our success.  We'd also love if you would share our campaign with your friends through email, facebook and twitter.  You can easily do this through the buttons on the top of of the campaign website or grab the blurbs we created for you to easily use at the bottom of this page.

A Quick Note!

**Unlike KickStarter, IndieGoGo allows us to keep any funds we raise!  So even if we don't reach our goal, every little bit helps with projects planned for 2012.

Here's a little bit of what you might want to know.......

Trashion?  In case that's not obvious, that's trash + fashion.  Junk to Funk (J2F) uses Avant-garde Trashion as art for social change to get people to think differently about waste.  It's not about getting people to wear trash, that would be ridiculous don't you think?  We use Trashion as an artistic expression to addresses the serious impacts that our consumer culture has on global social and ecological health.

We use our Trashion as the focal point in event entertainment, public installations, youth programs and soon to be launched "flashmob" style guerrilla outreach campaigns.  We think the best way to inspire change is to make it beautiful, to make it cool and and to make it FUN!

So let’s make the trash talk short and sweet.   We are at a pivotal juncture in our development and we think that our fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo will give you a pretty good idea of why your support is so crucial to our success; our goals, our projects, our inspiration, where your funds will go and why the issues we are addressing are so important.  Most importantly, here are the top 5 things that your contribution will fund.

Top 5 things your donation will fund in 2012

  1. We need to raise $1500 to complete our fundraising goals for a public installation in downtown Portland featuring garments created out of the most thrown away single use disposables products in the world; coffee cups, plastic bags and plastic beverage bottles.  These products are typically used for about an hour and then thrown away, pretty wasteful and unnecessary right?  Let's get rid of em!
  2. We need to raise $1000 to complete our fundraising goals to launch our interactive guerilla “flashmob” event series that will take place in populated public areas and events throughout the summer.  We'll be using the same single use disposables as mentioned above but this time it will become an interactive memorable experience for those lucky enough to be captured in the participation!
  3. We need more Trashion!  Your funds will help generate the creation of new, mind blowing, gorgeous, outrageous Trashion garments.  The value of one garment alone can be between several hundred to several thousands of dollars; they don't just manifest themselves out of a dumpster you know.
  4. We need up to $7,500 to fund our efforts to expand our activities beyond Portland; we’ll continue to do cool projects in our favorite city but we need to move our sustainability message beyond the choir.
  5. We need up to $7,500 to fund our efforts to expand our volunteer program so that we can establish collaborations that will strengthen our efforts.
